This is a story my friend from Texas A&M Galveston told me. I'm telling it from his point of view because that's how he told it to me.
A group of friends and I decided to drive out to South Padre Island. We got there and went to several bars and ended up drinking quite a bit. One of my friends was talking with a group of girls the entire night. We decided to leave and head back to campus, but our friend didn't want to leave because he was with the ladies, of course.
The next day was a Saturday so we just sat around in the dorms playing video games. We realized our friend had not come back from the night before. We were getting a little worried, but not worried enough to walk away from the video games! Finally, around 3 p.m. we got a phone call.
It was our friend and he asked us to come get him. When we asked where he was he responded, "I have no clue." He said he was in a neighborhood where all the houses looked the same. So, we went driving around the highway that led to South Padre. We drove around for three hours and didn't see anything resembling his description of the neighborhood. We decided it was frivolous to keep looking and headed back to the highway. Then just past the highway we saw a group of houses that matched his description.
We drove up and sure enough there he was standing outside a house that looked like every other house in the neighborhood. There were no cars in sight, no people in sight, and he had the oddest look on his face. He instantly told us to come inside. We walked through the door and saw that there was not a piece of furniture in the entire house. The only thing in the house was a phone sitting in the middle of the room. This was no ordinary phone, either. The phone was in the shape of a mallard duck.
We asked him what happened, and he responded by asking us why we left him. Apparently he blacked out and somehow ended up at this house. He didn't even remember the girls he was talking to. So, we thought we should take the phone and get out of there. He insisted that we leave the phone because as he put it, "if this ever happens to someone again, they are gonna want this phone."

Editors Note:
This story is either a very serious and sick drugging or a bad trip. Anyhoo, here's more about ducks.

Ok I know this sound untrue, but I am one of the guys who was called from the duck phone. I graduated in 2004 from Texas A&M at Galveston. This story actually took place my freshmman year to a good friend of mine. There are a few mistakes. First off we were partying on bolivar Island (which is right next to Galveston), we could not have been on S. Padre because it is like 8 hours away(Texas is a big state) and this was the year 2000 very few students had cell phones (thus the need for the duck phone)so the subject of this story would have had to call us in our dorms, which would have been impossible if we partied at S padre the night before. However the general idea ir right, there was nothing but a duck phone, it was the funniest thing ever(until a certain Tractor incident)
