Texas Partying

Football in Texas equals drunkenness
Well I was making fun of my friend one Friday night because he had gotten an M.I.P. at Southwest Texas State. He invited me to go--unfortunately I was working that night at a place on 6th Street. The guy he went to visit had been slapped with 2 m.i.p.'s and 1 m.i.c. in one night.

I kept stressing the fact that I was so glad I attended school in the most liberal city in Texas. I mean I figured a girl would have to practically kill someone before she got any kind of alcohol or drug violation here. So Saturday we all had an after party for the football game (which we won). We were playing round after round of beer pong and I became the drunkest I’ve ever been. I decided to sneak outside and get in my car to listen to some music and began driving a couple of blocks down the road.

I realized I was too drunk and stopped in the middle of an intersection. One hour later I woke up to a knee in my back reading my rights to me. A cop arrested me for passing out in the middle of the road with my car still running. I spent the night in jail with all of the drunk people that had been arrested the night before on Halloween. I called my roommate and promised that I was not drunk (even though I insisted that jail was the most fun place ever and that my cell mate was cool).

I had left my cell phone with the guys I was with and they were so drunk that they left me seventeen voice mails on my phone while using my phone to call me! My roommate had called them and she told them I was in jail and made them write it down. They forgot and figured they had to meet me for a piece of pie at Kirby lane at 6 am. The judge didn't give me or anyone else a DWI or an MIP considering we were all under age 21. Instead he gave us community service and said, "I know when UT football wins we are all supposed to get drunk but when they lose, we get even drunker. Good thing for you guys that we have a good football team."

And that sums up alcohol related violation consequences here at UT.
