Last year I decided to move down to Arizona and go back to school. I immediately rushed a fraternity. Being that I already signed a lease to stay at the house for a semester, I wanted to make the most of my time there, socially that is.
After the first two weeks of school, my fraternity had a social with a sorority. That was the night I was introduced to the saki-bomber. I enjoyed a total of seven saki-bombers (each one is equal to about 4 drinks). After stumbling out of the Japanese restaurant where we had our social, we headed back to our fraternity house for a post-party where I began to pound Screwdrivers. I can't remember much else about that party but I do remember the party dying down.
I was still in the partying mood and heard a bunch of girls over at another fraternity house across the alley. So I made my way over there to keep partying. Shortly after sitting down in a lawn chair, however, I must have fallen asleep. The next thing I knew, I was riding in an ambulance to the hospital. Turned out I fell asleep and no one could wake me up, so they called 911. Then, not wanting to get into any trouble, they picked me up in the lawn chair and carried me out to the street as I continued my slumber.
When the ambulance pulled around the corner, they saw a man sitting in a lawn chair in the middle of street. And they figured out that I was the one in need of their assistance.
At the hospital, I refused any help or tests, saying I was just really drunk (which I was). I proceeded to flirt with the nurses until my cousin picked me up. I called him because I didn't have any of the brothers' phone numbers yet. When I got back to the fraternity house that morning, I told everyone about my wild ride.
Two days later, I received a bid and the pledge name - ER (Emergency Room). Then last year I won the award for biggest drinker in the frat both semesters. Although, I wear that honor with pride, it’s not something I brought home to show mom.
